One of the amazing dinners we had recently was a street Tacos using flank steak. One of the tougher meats to work with, but after a little tenderizing and a nice marinade for a few hours, the flank was so soft and tender. It sliced so easy for the to tacos and wasn't chewy at all
We used our favorite corn tortillas by La Cocina, found at Superstore and Safeway. They fold so nicely without breaking.

The recipe was adapted from Carls Bad Cravings
Ingredients
1 ½ – 2 pounds flank steak (We used a tenderizer to to tenderize the steak more)
Marinade
1/4 cup soy sauce (We use Gluten free VH Soy Sauce)
1/4 cup orange juice
2 tablespoons lime juice
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon brown sugar
Spice Mix
1 tablespoon ground cumin
1 tablespoon garlic powder
2 tsp paprika
2tsp chili powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp ground coriander
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
Directions
Add seasoning from spice mix together in a mall bowl, mix together and set aside.Add all Marinade Ingredients to a large freezer bag (or marinating dish) and whisk to combine. Add 3 tablespoons Spice Mix to Marinade and whisk to combine. Add steak, turn to evenly coat. Marinate in the refrigerator 4-12 hours (the longer the better). Two hours even works if you tenderized the steak.
When ready to grill, mix remaining Spice Mix with 2 tablespoons olive oil to create a wet Spice Rub. Remove steak from marinade and rub steak evenly all over with spice rub.
Set BBQ/Grill settings to medium. Add steak when BBQ comes to temperature. Grill steak for 15 minutes per side for well done, 8 minutes for medium. Be sure to turn half way through.
One steak is cooked to satisfaction, remove steak and let rest tented with foil for 10 minutes before slicing. This will ensure you don't lose all the juices.
Serve with your favourite gluten free corn tortilla's and toppings. We topped with sauteed peppers and onions, lettuce, cheese, guacamole, salsa and sour cream.
