Gluten Free Fish and Chips at Sir Winston's Fish & Chips

I finally checked out Sir Winston's Fish & Chips and it was really good.

I really appreciated the thin gluten free batter and that they were able to make gluten free onion rings. The fish was really tender and tasty. They have a few different ways to place your order. You can order just a piece of fish, fish with chips, or a combo of fish, chips, coleslaw and a drink. Which is what I had ordered. Like most fish and chips there are also several types of fish to choose from. I chose cod, Amanda chose the halibut.

The owner was really nice, and although not a Celiac himself, was really understanding of the limited options available and is looking to explore new ways to engage the community.

He told me he did this because of everyone that is in our Gluten Free Edmonton Support Group. He said that people came into the restaurant from the group and asked, so he tried it out. And then more people came in, and he's been happy to accommodate.
