A while back we wrote about how Press'd The Sandwich Company was offering gluten free sandwiches at their Jasper Ave. location in Edmonton. They had such a great response people were asking for them to expand their gluten free sandwich option to the Edmonton City Centre location (west food court). The only road block for Press'd was that the City Centre location is their busiest location during lunch hour. I've been by there and they get absolutely slammed at lunch time so they were worried about cross contamination of their food.
They came up with a great idea to have one premade gluten free sandwich a day. They did their due diligence and through us contacted the Celiac community for feedback just to be sure that this would work. They had a great response and decided to go through with the plan. Unfortunately there will still be an extra charge of $1 for a half sandwich and $2 for a full sandwich.
Follow Press'd the Sandwich Company on Twitter or Facebook for announcements on their daily gluten free sandwich. Also please leave a comment here for feedback. They want to know what you think about this and how they can improve their service of gluten free sandwiches to you.

I hope there are long island gluten free stores near this restaurant. I'll have to try this place sometime with my husband.
ReplyDeleteI think healthy sandwiches and snacks like these are available at our local Long Island weight loss center. Thank goodness we have so many options! I hope your area will, too.
