The Happy Camel is a staple at the Old Strathcona Farmers Market. But what I didn't realize (but Amanda knew all along), is that they do have a store front in Edmonton's West End behind the Callingwood Dollarama and beside the Bottle Depot. So you don't have to wait until Saturday to buy their dips. What's that I said? Buy their dips? Yup, I said it, you can buy their dips, because most of then are gluten free. Infact they have been making gluten free vegetarian dips and spreads for years.
On top of that, not too long ago The Happy Camel started to make gluten free pita's from corn or potato. We have tried them, and they are decent. They certainly make a nice dipping vehicle. The Happy Camel is unable to guarantee no cross contamination since they make the gluten free pita in a kitchen that also process their standard pita's. You can typically pick up their gluten free pita frozen at their store location. They do also have it at their kiosk at the Old Strathcona Farmers Market.
You can often find The Happy Camel also setup in other Farmers Markets.
As for their dips and salads, be sure to try out their hummus and Amanda's favourite baba ghanouj!
